Brian leads Nexus’s business development function. He drives the Nexus CXO network and is focused on partnering with Nexus founders and management teams to help scale customer adoption and accelerate go-to-market.

Brian is an accomplished executive with 20 years experience building teams and driving revenue. Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Brian has spent his career immersed in technology startups. 

Brian joined Nexus from InfluxData, where he served as VP of Business Development, GM of Cloud, and Chief Marketing Officer. During his tenure he built partnerships with Google and Amazon, created a global OEM business, and established the InfluxDB Cloud PLG motion, growing the InfluxDB community to over 1 million developers worldwide. 

Before Influx, Brian was VP of Business Development at Twilio, where he built 200+ telecom partnerships globally from the company’s infancy through its IPO. He led the company’s international expansion, hiring its first teams in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. 

Brian is passionate about building things from the ground up. When not watching his two boys play soccer, Brian can typically be found either in the mountains or on the water.
