On the heels of ScaleArc’s recent fund raising, executive additions provide new opportunities to drive growth and customer traction
Santa Clara, Calif. – January 26, 2016 – ScaleArc, the leading provider of database load balancing software, today announced the expansion of the company’s leadership team, adding Jaywant Rao as Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships and Rajkumar Irudayaraj as Vice President of Product Management. The hiring of these two accomplished technology leaders, combined with ScaleArc’s recent $20 million fund raising, extend ScaleArc’s capacity to drive market growth and customer traction.
Rao brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise applications, database technology, infrastructure and cloud technology to ScaleArc. Most recently, he was an executive consultant and advisor to early-stage companies in the cloud and Internet of Things (IOT) space. Previously, he was the Vice President of Global Channels and Alliances for Savvis (acquired by Century Link) and Vice President of Global ISV alliances and Channels for Salesforce.com. He also spent more than 11 years at Oracle, starting his career in development of Oracle’s relational database technology. Rao earned a Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (India), and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, New York
Irudayaraj brings more than 20 years of enterprise software and database domain expertise to ScaleArc. He comes from Oracle, where he was senior director and architect for the Data Warehouse Analytics product, leading architecture and SaaS enablement on the Oracle Public Cloud. Earlier, he was director of product management for the Fusion Middleware Platform at Oracle, where he focused on driving standardized architecture for middleware products to deliver high availability and operational value to customers. He previously served as a senior software development engineer at Informix (acquired by IBM) and earned an MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Mysore (India).
